Sorry for the Typos is a workbook that places people in the shoes of a dyslexic by addresses the stigmas that surround dyslexia and shows the readers what it is like to be in the mind of a dyslexic.

There are tons of books out there for parents of dyslexic children, doctors and self-help books to boost children's confidence; there is no book out the there to help people really understand what it's like. Many people do not understand what dyslexia is; many think it's just flipping numbers and letter but its way more than that.

The book is laid out in a workbook workbook format: chapters are referred to as lesson plans with exercises throughout. To further the tone, I created red annotations throughout the book as if someone has gone through it. Lastly, I chose an off-white lightweight paper that is similar to what is often found in workbooks, for the text.

I chose to add images of actual written “case studies” by dyslexics. Each case study is hand written and then edited by someone else. This is done to not only show dyslexic’s writing, but for the reader to really feel like they are connected.
